Sjava is a South African singer, rapper and actor.  He began his career by first becoming an actor in 2005 under the mentorship of Nqedolwethu Mabuza and rose to prominence acting in the drama series, Zone 14 where he starred for three consecutive seasons. 

Sjava ventured into the listening to Nqedolwethu Mabuza and joining record label Ambitiouz Entertainment. He was featured on Miss Pru critically acclaim song "Ameni" in 2015.

In 2016 Sjava debut his album Isina Muva (2016),  which introduces his experimental sound fusing afrobeats, hip hop and contemporary R&B.

His second studio album, Umqhele was released in 2018 to a critical acclaim. Umqhele which continues with his fusion sound, grew his African-influenced image, and consolidated to other international regions (mainly in Africa).   Before Umqhele, Sjava also released his debut EP, Umphako in 2018.
